Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Improve Healing Simply By Breathing

The air you are breathing right now contains around 21% oxygen. That amount of oxygen in the air is adequate for healthy individuals to oxygenate their blood and supply their cells with the oxygen required to function. However, certain injuries and illnesses decrease our body’s ability to absorb and distribute oxygen. The lack of oxygen in turn makes it harder for our cells to heal. This is where Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) can help.

Hyperbaric Treatment Overview

01

Consultation

Your first visit will be a consultation with one of our providers to answer any questions you may have and review your medical history. Let our provider know if you are pregnant, smoke, or if you have a history of ear/sinus problems (ear infections, sinus infections, trouble clearing ears, etc.) To save time, please complete our New Patient Paperwork before your arrival.

02

Before Your Treatment

Wash in the shower or bath at home and skip the personal products. For your safety and comfort, makeup, deodorant, hair products, perfumes, lotions and contact lenses may not be worn. Wear a comfortable pair of underwear. (Ladies, leave the underwire at home. A sports bra will be more comfortable and safe).

03

At The Clinic

When you arrive, you will be shown to a changing room and provided with 100% cotton scrubs to change into and a bag in which to store your belongings. Please note that you may not take anything into the chamber with you. This includes jewelry, watches, and electronic devices.

04

Time To Relax

Before your arrival, the chamber was prepared with clean sheets and a blanket for your comfort. You can choose a show on Netflix to watch on the TV (in our acrylic chamber) or take a nap. In our soft chamber, you can bring a book to read. Treatments last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on the condition for which you are being treated.

05

Repeat

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy consists of a series of treatments. The number and frequency vary by condition and will be discussed at your initial consultation.
